I think it's more a case of correcting the rounding. PS3 was rounded up when it should have been rounded down last week (it had less than 72.95 but was rounded to 73). That's why that "PS3 adjusted up" thread appeared.

Both PS3 and 360 are massively undertracked though.

actually before the gap was at ~1,391,000 and now it is at ~1,395,000 - both the 360 and PS3 lost ~8-10k afaik

What is it to be happy about Vita outselling Wii U next week?
When Wii U gets its price cut the same thing will happen and anyways a Handheld outselling a Home console should not be anything to brag about. Especially since most of those handheld sales will come from Japan.
Anyways the 3DS is doing horrible in the West and that is not a pretty sight.
