Actually, retailers have been selling it for the reduced price since January. Retailers have been simply cutting out their portion of the profit on the console to sell for less. So, unless you are actually in Japan, and can confirm that they are already selling it for even less (now creating costs), I'm just going to assume this was a hollow statement.

Vita has been discounted to 199€ and heavily bundled since late November early Dec.

It was bundled with Assasins creed, CoD and FIFA13. SUPER HEAVILY BUNDLED actually. Add to that the ,now official, pricecut, and you have what we got here in the EU in November.

I wonder when the Wii U is going to land on it's feet? Still another 3 weeks left without new games and then after that at least 2 months without new games. It might end up falling below 5k at this rate. =O

Vita sales are slightly up, probably because some retailers dropped the price early. Wii U sales are not surprising, Nintendo totally screwed up the launch window.
