I was just wondering to all the 3DS owners.

How often do you play with the 3D on?

Side question for XL owners: Nintendo has said that the 3D is much better with the XL, is this true? If its true, how so?

I always play with the 3D all the way up! I like it.

Also always ON and all the way up.

Steroscopic 3D has a diorama effect, so with a 90% bigger screen you get a 90% bigger diorama like image.

The first time I played with the 3D ON, I thought it didn't make that much of a difference so I turned it off, just to see how drastically different it was and then turned it back ON and all the way up.......it was the 1st Party IP; Steel Diver.

But it takes 1 to 2 weeks of playing with the 3D On and all the way up to naturally never move out of the sweet spot, but the first up to 2 weeks of moving out of the sweet spot every once in a while was worth it, because now I never move out of the sweet spot and it's all natural.

Yeah I do, but I can't see why everyone says it hurts their eyes when it's on.

Sometimes, depends on the games. Some of them got crappy 3d, and some of them hurt my eyes. Most just makes the game better (like super mario 3d land)

Actually all of the 3DS games release in 2012 & up have a great 3D, excluding 1 game; Crimson Shroud.

I always have it on and set to max, except for games with really intense 3D (MGS3D and Pilotwings). I think I'm one of the few people who like 3D.

Based off the poll, most people on here like it.

Same here.

But about those other people, well there are 2 factors for 3D giving them a bad time:

1) age......the older a person is, the worser the 3D effect will be for them because their eyes & brain have already degraded since after or around age 20.

2) inbreeding........the more a persons ancestry consist of inbreeding, the lesser natural talent their mind has in "math" (like finding algebra too easy) & seeing anything in 3D, including real life & science & reading & sports & so fort. (I'm talking about having any natural talent in these kind of things, so it's best to breast feed babies if you ever have any)

Only during cutscenes or boss fights. The 3D effect tires my eyes too fast.

You Should try playing on a Lower Volume of 3D, and after 1 to 2 weeks of playing with the 3D every time you can tolerate it, well you be able to play with the 3D ON and all the way up 24/7.......according to people who have the same first experience problems that you have.

Trust Mii. ;)

Anyways, I play with 3D off most of the time. It's annoying having to stay perfectly still, especially on the road. I turn it on when there's something cool worth seeing in 3D. Also, it saves battery n.n

you never lose the effect if you are bouncing up & down.

And after 1 to 2 weeks of playing with the 3D ON you won't move away to the side anymore, and it is a naturally adopted ability you gain without noticing you develop such an ability.
