Super charged is code for "on steroids with 2 prosthetic legs, a gun, and a bad attitude". Kaz killed that shiz yo, now Sony is on bail & looking for action!
By super charged, I'm sure they are just stating it has some minor customizations. Just making sure people don't think it is straight up PC parts thrown together. In essence it is "super charged", a console will be able to take far more advantage of the hardware than a PC would, even if it is not customized to hell and back.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Sega just wanted people to understand that the Genesis' CPU was faster than the SNES, but back then people thought a CPU was the big gray box for running Excel at work. Sega called it Blast Processing to give kids ammo on the playground. Sony is calling a a mid ranged PC "Supercharged" to simplify the advantages of a closed architecture and give kids ammo for the forums.

I think we are far beyond that now (thought I never experienced console wars growing up). Gamers are going to use real figures and numbers. Don't make this into something this is not.

F*ck that is hilarious, man if Sony released a PS4 in a retro, 80's inspired case I'd buy the hell out of that.
I heard it comes with a 450 hp V8 super charged engine. I'm a bigger fan of turbo charger like Time Warner turbo charged internet.
It is basically the same concept as a super charger or a turbo charger. Both units force more air into a motor to give it more power. On the console they are giving the chips direct access to each other forcing fast communication. It is basically giving you more performance out of something than what it was initially intended for.
Sounds like a super charged system to me.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I don't know, my gaming rig has a lot more power and I wouldn't call it super charged. For one thing, my PC may be a lot more powerfull than the PS4 but it isn't the most powerfull gaming rig that money can by. And for anothing thing I wouldn't use "super charged" to dsescribe a PC or a gaming console. Overclocked maybe, streamlined sure, but calling mid ranged off the shelf PC parts Supercharged is like calling a honda civic turbo for having an air scoop.
