He's saying they can do emulation or cloud service but haven't decide which route they'll go. We pretty much knew that already. There are problems with each, of course, which makes it harder. We might see emulation for older games, but I'm betting PS3 games will be cloud service.

I kid, of course. I don't much have a problem with the PS4 not playing my backlog of PS3 stuff. I plan on getting a larger piece of furniture to turn it into a console center as right now they're just fighting over space with my books.

It's a trade-off, if the PS4 had native BC it would be more expensive. But at same time, Sony would the able to kill the (currently) healthy PS3 market in order to increase PS4 sales (just like Nintendo partially killed the NDS market to increase 3DS sales).

Was it a good decision? PS4 sales will tell us in a few moths.

I'll still be playing my PS3 many a year after I've bought the PS4, so it doesn't matter to me.
