Sony doesn't have any obligation to make their console BC. They don't have to if they don't want too.

Doesn't matter to me either. I'll be moving my PS3 into the bed room for a blu ray player anyway. So i could just play any old games in there. While reserving my PS4 for brand new games, like what it's meant to play. To be honest I've had BC in all my PlayStation systems and I only used it a handful of times in the 15 plus years I've been a PlayStation gamer. So it wont be missed. I rather them lose BC than add cost to the systems. Now if they want an add on to play older games that would be nice for people that want it and are willing to pay the price.

wouldn't have transfered them anyway. I don't want my new console's HDD space being taken up by old plus stuff that I can play on PS3. Just tell me the cases are the same size so I can fit them in my holder lol

I don't necessarily see this as a screw up. Most people want to play ps4 games on it.

I'm actually much happier to play ps1/2 games on my PSV. PS3 games I can wait for Gaikai or just play them on my PS3. I mean, I would love to be able to ditch my PS3, but if it comes down to it, ill just keep it around longer.

Well firstly i will buy my ps4 to buy PS4 games.In fact i will not play my PS3 games that much again. Maybe GOW Ascension but for that i have my PS3 i wont sell. I alos believe that the PS3 will be on the market for another 3-4 years so i can b uy a super cheap one again when my old PS3 get damaged.

So no big deal for me personally.

For me, it isn't a huge issue. Sony can't do proper BC, so they are offering it via Gaikai, but haven't really decided on the details
