WiiU for kids PS4 for Adults is what it comes down to.

Because ZombiU and Bayonetta 2 are really kid friendly.

Well as a Nintendo fan who has never really been into the Playstation stuff, obviously Wii U right now. However, it is closer than usual. Nintendo is doing less to wow me than they normally have, and the PS4 certainly looks more intriging to me than the PS3 did. The idea of streaming BC that can allow for access to PS1,2, AND 3 games is a huge seller for me as I don't own any of those consoles. I also like the idea of streaming your game videos.

Though I will probably still get the Wii U first, and MAYBE get a PS4 way down the line, I'm talking like 2016, if I ever get one at all. Unless Sony somehow manages to make it $300 or something, in which case I will be there at or near launch. Though knowning Sony, there's almost no chance of that happening. If MS wows me at or before E3, I might just get that and skip out on Sony yet again.

WiiU because it's simply Nintendo and I can't be without their games

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

PS4 by a landslide, WiiU isnt in the same console generation imo, just look at the social features and visuals of PS4. including streaming demos with gakai tech just WOW.

il be keeping my WiiU i think its novel and has its own charm, but as a nex-gen gaming console PS4 is leagues ahead. anyone who says otherwise is insane.

im not hating on the WiiU, in fact im typing this msg using the brill WiiU browser. im just stating the obvious, right now WiiU will share many 3rd party games with PS3/360 but the moment PS4/720 are in swing its clear where all the core games will be on.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I chose WiiU, because the PS4 didn't do anything but show MORE POWER

Improvements/added features etc. other than MORE POWER:

  • Instant demos for all games via streaming
  • Play games while downloading (as in downloading the same game you're playing)
  • Friends can spectate while you game, with comments
  • Friends can assist or take control of your game remotely
  • Much better multi-tasking - Cross Game Chat... Cross *device* chat even, in-game web browser, quick in-game xmb
  • Share button implications - all gameplay recorded, screens/videos can be taken and uploaded, video can be streamed online
  • "players can look over game-related information shared by friends, view friends’ gameplay with ease, or obtain information of recommended content, including games, TV shows and movies."
  • Vast improvement to remote play - all PS4 titles on Vita
  • Hugely updated UI
  • Later down the line the whole PS catalogue available via Gaikai

Yeah I saw all of those and they are impressive. I just really wanted them to show games that would blow away the WiiU, which they didn't really. They showed a lot of tech demos and graphic engines, which really don't mean much at the end of the day. Games liike Killzone don't move me either.

What I would have loved if they had said that some Quadratic Dream game will be at launch, and Last of US is also now on PS4, etc. But I guess they still have E3.

I chose WiiU, because the PS4 didn't do anything but show MORE POWER, as expected. PS4 event focused on what could be, but really didn't say much about availability of games. I guess we'll have to wait for E3, but I suspect by then Sony will only have a handful or games to show, while 3rd parties would make their games multi-plat just to mitigate the cost. Conversely, I expect that Nintendo is working on new 1st games that will wow us, and will secure decent 3rd party games for E3.

IMHO, WiiU is looking better right about now.

But, you already have a WiiU.

yeah, i was looking ahead at when the games start rolling.

More people voted for WiiU than the number of people that bought the console, tsk tsk..

I agree, the games were definitely underwhelming imo. But I'm not worried about that seeing as there's still 4-6 first party titles to be revealed (3 being from ND, Santa M, Poly, arguably the most notable studios) and a ton of TP games. My prediction: E3 will be cray.

People ovelook one thing that I think is quite important too - self-publishing model on PSN. Mark Rein (Epic) in GT post-show interview was quite excited about that - well of course he would be, it means more UE4 engines sold, but it means more small-mid level developers can go directly to store without tedious publishing deals, which means more content. I think for us, as end consumers, that can only be good.
