Forums - Sony - PS4 -- Killzone:Shadowfall. OMG

http://gizmodo.com/5985701/the-playstation-4-is-here

A look at the next Killzone title was even more impressive, though we don't want to get our hopes up too much about what's pre-rendered here and what isn't. If it is, lighting effects look absolutely phenomenal, with better flames, glare, and shadows than anything on any console.

Cityscape scenes and view distance are pleasantly massive.

The interesting thing about that was

1) Ingame
2) on the level of Crysis 3 PC or even about that....and that as an early build.

PS4 Exclusives will look insane especially after the 1st wave.
3rd Party looks insane too - PS4 and NextBox will jump insane steps over the next years. They are still in prefinal build stage with the games we have seen for NextGen.

Sony did listen to developers and made the console easy to develop for.
This will be interesting - We will see good and steady jumps on both consoles.
The variety of genres and the effort is probably bigger on the PS4

WiiU will have problems after the 1st wave of NextGen Games that are mostly still PS360/NextGen.
Then they will push and go for it and won't look back that much.

Seriously looked insane. Do not know why they didn't just call it something different? Looked nothing like KZ

"Set thirty years after the events of the Killzone trilogy, the world of Killzone Shadow Fall is a very different place. Forced together by circumstance, the two rival factions of the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall.

Tensions are high, and a war can spark at any moment. In the midst of this all stands a Shadow Marshall, the most special of the special forces, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance."

I've very excited. The Helghast appear to be invading a new world, so it's going to be a new setting with different objectives. I just wonder how this is going to fit into the meta-story.

This was probably what got me the most excited during the presentation. I can't wait.

This is interesting, because perhaps we will get to play as both sides during the campaign.

"Thirty years ago, our home world was swept away in a tide of so called justice".

This game takes place after the events of Killzone 3 where Helghan was destroyed. I think they did this so that they can justify you playing as a Helghast character since people really wanted a Helghast campaign. Watch the trailer, it explains it all and the graphics are....wow.

Should've just named it "Shadowfall" without the KZ title. Same with the new InFamous game

I believe that it is name with a subtitle because, in order to be KZ4, it would have to continue directly the story of Zev and Rico in Helghan, but this is showing the part of the helghast fleet that was leaving towards "Human colonies" at the end of KZ2, and now is attacking Vekta.

EDIT: I just read that the game is 30 years later than KZ3, ignore what I wrote LOL XD

The Infamous game looks more of a reboot to me, or at least it is several years later after Infamous 2.

what are you guys talking about? looks just like all the other games, just a different location. lol

Pretty much agree, doesn't appear to be anything but an extension of all the 7th generation trends.

There were two cool things though; they have found more than grey and brown in the crayon kit and that weapon that doubles as a charge-up sniper rifle and assualt rifle all in one, that was pretty frickin' sweet in my opinion.

Apart from that set piece even at the end, graphics looked no better than Halo 4...

it looked Gawdly!!!
