I told my mom to pick up my pre-order of Starcraft 2 (3 years ago) and she walked out with the game and pre-orders of SC2 heart of the swarm AND Legacy of the Void (heart of the swarm still has not been released nor had a release date at the time)

i laughed so fucking hard and said you got played

A Gamestop employee once tried to tell me blu-ray discs didn't scratch.

4 years ago I was at an gamestop in germany and a guy came in asking for a console:the employee told him :"buy a 360 .far more reliable and silent than a ps3"
I couldn't believe what I 've heard because at that time there was a massive rrod problem and the 360 was extremly noisy.
I started argueing with the employee and told him not to lie to the customers. His head turned red and after the customer left i was forced to leave the store.

At this moment I realised that MS is paying those bastards to sell the xbox and prevent customers from buying the Wii and the ps3.
After doing some research about MS I found out:that's how they usually work to get rid of their competitors.Propaganda and antipropaganda.

Went to a gametrader's (Australian game store) to pick up my Wii console at 4:30 pm launch day.

Me: Can i pick up my Wii and Wii game pre-orders

Employee: Let me just check out back

Me: Waiting 5 min

Employee: We have run out of Wii console's at this time but will be getting some in soon

Me: But i pre-ordered the console

Employee: That does not guarantee that you can receive one on the day

Me: Are you kidding me?

Employee: You should have come in earlier to ensure you got your console

Me: So you offered too many pre-orders

Employee: No but regular customers have been buying them as the console is very popular

Me: You sold my Wii console to someone else

Employee: No

Me : I want to cancel my console and game pre-orders

Employee: You can't cancel pre-orders for products already released

Me: What am i going to play my games on?

Employee: We will getting new console's in soon.

Me: Can i speak to the manager

Ended up getting my money back and waiting two months before getting a Wii console

or you DIE

blu rays have a protection layer.I have dozens of cd's and dvd's and most of them with some scratches, but none of my blu rays has a scratch.Seems the protection layer works well.

They scratch, but not as easy as dvd's or cd's.

I always wonder if Gamestop actually has reasonable prices in other countries. I only visit Gamestop here when I'm in need of a good laugh. Those prices for USED games are absolutely delusional over here.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I was in a Harvey Norman (Australian Store) and over heard a saleswoman telling her two customers that the 360 was superior and that this new tech coming out in a a year would allow them to control it by voice (She was referring to kinect) and greatly exaggerated its abilities. I'm pretty certain Voice control is still very limited in Australia with kinect.

She then went on to tell them that Blu-ray was useless and offered no advantage over DVD and was merely a sales pitch invented by Sony, explaining that the PS3 was offered no other advantage.

They walked out with a 360, a bunch of games and most likely as is Harvey Norman tradition an over priced HDMI cable, 3 years extended warranty (they'd be glad they got that one) and some other crap, the usual sales people try to push there.

Try to go to John Lewis in the UK, any store, ask for New Super Mario Bros Wii for PS3 or Xbox 360 and they will actually check the computer for stock, or in the back for then just say, sorry it must be sold out, we only have the Wii version!
