MMO DQ I DOUBT IT

I highly doubt that a console MMO will be able to help the Wii U.

March sure is a busy week for the WiiU. Amazing Spiderman, Need for Speed and more importantly MH3 and Lego City + Dragon Quest in Japan.

The main reason I believe the WiiU is doing so terribly is because I think their have'nt been a single new game to launch on the system since launch. Not a single new game in over 3months, meaning that those who were not early adopters did'nt get a single new reason to buy the system.

If by March we don't see the sales pick up atleast a little bit, then I'll start to worry, and I will probably be worrying till E3. But I think the sales will pick up for a week or 2, but not by alot, maybe reach between 50 to 80k worldwide, and in that case atleast we can have some hope that games can revive the system.

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

It may raise the sales of the Wii U by something like 10k the week it's released.

Great news for Wii U! A Dragon Quest Bundle will surely help Wii U hardware sales going forward. Hopefully Nintendo will capitalize on that and release more games in the months following.

It'll help. Obviously, this isn't going to instantly turn things around, but it'll provide a little bit of a boost.

Don't you think all these "3rd Party Bundles" are there to appease the devs so they stop raging about Nintendo eating up like 90% of the SW sales.

DQX wont do much for the Wii-U.

The Wii-U need more megaton games like Mario to come out :O.

I beg to differ. According to Famitsu, it's one of the top 20 most anticipated game of 2013. Furthermore, having Dragon Quest appear on a specific console, judging by past trends, results into the console of choice for Japan as previous generations have shown :) (PS2, DS, Wii, 3DS)

It probably won't do much. The original sold 630,000 on a huge userbase with a cheap entry price point, although the DQ audience is very dedicated so these things may not matter as much as with other titles.

I'd say we can realistically expect 300,000 absolute tops, with a first week of 150,000 at most. Enough for a two week boost perhaps, but not much more. And I think I'm being optimistic.

It's a step in the right direction though.
