There are no real figures yet, but considering the size of GTA IV which is around 10 to 15 GB, the blockbuster-bound GTA V surely to surpass that by leaps and bounds. Our idea of GTA 5 being fitted to 60 GB game surely won’t surprise a lot of people.

So basically they made those numbers from nothing.

Given that Red Dead Redemption was bigger than GTA IV and launched in 1 Disc, the max I can see it is 3 discs with the change of being only 2, with the map splitted in half (like GTA Vice City), or with 1 of them being a mandatory install.

As for launching it on PC... well, RDR didn't see a PC release but Max Paine did. I'm more inclined to say that they will also launch it on PC.

I think 9gb is the limit.

nahh, the world would easily fit on every disc, they would only split the story relevand stuff and have maybe one extra disc as mendatory install with something needed for the whole game but no place on the single discs (which i doubt). it would mean disc change maybe every 15 hours or only 50 hours if you do all the sidequests and stuff.

Uhh then it'll be like 5 discs on 360 lol, they only hold like 12gb each

that's why games for 360 come with a great box because all games release with at least 5 discs... *roll eyes*

I call bull on this because R* hasn't even officially announced a PC version yet, and plus there's no way this game is that big when PS3 Blu-rays aren't even close to the capacity of 50GB. Hell, Skyrim on the 360 fit on one disc.

Not only did Skyrim fit on a single disc. It was under 4GB. They game could fit in a single DVD twice.

I think GTA 4 on the PC requires about 20GB. Yet the 360 version is only 6.6GB.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a two disc game.

Make the console version so pirated that they finally release their games on PC again.

No, MGS 4 fills around 30GB. Biggest PS3 game is Uncharted 3 at 45GB, followed by GoW3 and FF XIII at 40GB. Most exclusives are around 20GB and thus fill only a single layer.

Thanks for the accurate info.  I thought few console games would be over 30 GB's, and 40+ didn't even pass my mind.
