@italic - thats one of the reasons i love killzone, it somewhat offers the best of both worlds. the hipfire is accurate and if you want better accuracy and better aim just look down the scope. but in games like CoD hipefire somehow seems weeker than shooting while aiming, it just takes so much more time shooting at the guy. but i agree, i hope its the way you described it to be, it just sounds more fun.

@underlined - well it does seem that you will be fighting NPC's mostly, atleast from what they are telling us now. but in general i agree, i dont like to die in a second, give me some health to retaliate. it just more fun when i dont die after 2 bullets

Yeah, that's one of the things I liked about Killzone. For the most part, you could hip fire pretty accurately without having to aim down the sights, which made movement and dodging much easier. As for aiming down the sights, I really enjoyed that too. I especially liked aiming at players who were standing still aiming at someone else from a distance. Killzone had excellent hit detection so if I aimed at someone's head, I knew I would kill them with one bullet; unlike Call of Duty where headshots are pretty random as I'm never really sure if I shot someone in the head or the torso. And the sound/visual of a person's helmet flying off after a headshot only added to the satisfaction.

About Destiny, that's interesting. I haven't read much at all about it, but I assumed it would be multiplayer focused. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

This gif is from the 1:10 mark in the video.

That is either a hint at a Wii U version, or a next level troll.

LOOL i noticed it the first time i saw the video. i cracked up! what makes it even funnier is that they didnt announce it for the WiiU  lol

No. What did Bungie ever make except for that one Tribes ripoff?

So so. The concept sounds very interesting, but I'm more of a solitary gamer. Around 70% of my gaming is done on campaign related activities, and the rest is coop mostly. But as I said it does look interesting. If my friends are on board and there's a strong story driving this game then I will likely 'jump in'.

Since this is Bunjie's first time on the PS3, I'll get the PS4 version (if I do) xD

I'm pretty much in the same boat.  If it ends up being MMO-style where you have to group up to raid certain bosses and instances if you want decent stuff, then I'll pass.  Been there, done that, no longer interested in a game that feels like a job.  I like playing when I want to play without worrying about keeping a schedule.  The way the interview made it sound, you're not getting a full experience if you play alone, and I don't really care for that.

Other than that, though, I love the art direction.  If single-player isn't significantly gimped, I might give it a shot.

If there is an NDA in place this is how you would give a wink to the Nintendo people.  Of course they could also just be having fun.

out of all the MP games i played online KZ easily has the best hit detection. it also gave the best satisfaction after getting a kill, specially with headshots. CoD's hit detection is a joke, i have played that game A LOT! my cousin comes over almost daily and he plays nothing but CoD so me and my brother play with him, i been killed a million times with snipers that i swear dont hit me, i see it on the killcam, the player shoots next to me a bit and bamn, im dead. final killcame also show players shooting all over the place but getting a kill. CoD honestly is a joke of an FPS, and i played the game so much that i can tell you each of everyone of its many flaws.

well i posted a Q&A about the game it pretty much tells you everything the developers can say at the moment. but its pretty long you might get bored, i honestly did at the end.

you can play the game by your own, they actually took that into consideration. you pretty much can play it with people or by yourself and it doesnt matter. the game wont be "gimped" though the thing is they are trying to make the univerise "alive". to make the world around you be real, even though you will play by yourself people will still build the world around you, but you can chose to play with any of them or not. and thats whats really interesting about this game, its the way they are making you play it. you pretty much chose how to do so.

Edit and they said and insisted that its not an MMO. its an FPS first and foremost

They didn't show anything....all we got was some animation for pictures we have already seen.

I guess they also announced that its going to be an FPS/MMO and have mobile app integration. Don't get me wrong those 2 things are pretty cool, but once again the video game industry hypes up an announcement which turns out to be bare-bones.

This is why I'm cautiously optimistic about the 20th.

Sooo, it looks like this game won't be coming to PC?

What is clear, however, is that Destiny will not be coming to the PC because "We made the game (Halo) run without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they used to play them before Halo ’cause nobody wants to," said Bungie’s Jason Jones. Owch. That quote is not going to go down well.

actually it looks like there is a big possibility it will, here is a quote from a Q&A

"Journo: Can I assume the PC too?

PP: I’d say we would absolutely love to be on the PC. If you go upstairs and talk to the people there we play on all formats. So stay tuned!"
