We need something like this for PSV
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Looking at COMG, it'll probably struggle to have FW sales over 100k, more likely 80k. I predict a small HW boost, getting it above 10k for a couple weeks, but it'll be below where it is now within a month.
First it would be Assassin's Creed that was going to save the Vita, then it would be CoD, now it's gonna be PSO2... I wonder which game will be next in the line if PSO2 doesn't save the Vita.

No, PSO2 and Busty Kagura will save PSVita. After that it will be Vita's Sacrifice, the Killzoned, then Tearaway and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Declassified.
But to be honset, I can see Soul Sacrifice doin something in the west. It has already lost Japan and I can see Tearaway do something aswell.

This is what I mean. Just throwing the label "savior' on a bunch of games really hurts the image of those games and their developers after release. Even when they exceed publisher sales expectations and get great reviews, they'll never live up to the forum hype they were given. This just leads to more negative press and "it haz no gaemz" threads and media articles.
Killzone 2 for example was a great game. Sold well and got an 90+ metacritic. Because it didn't launch with a 1 million HW sales week and sell 5M lifetime a lot of people consider that game a flop. I've seen many posts calling that franchise a waste because of the expectations that were on KZ2. SONY clearly doesn't see it that way, though. Killzone3 happened. Killzone:Merc is happening. Some people actually think GG got help from devs like Naughty Dog to make KZ3 as impressive as it was even though GG has gone on record to say that KZ3 was fully in house. Guerrilla Games has only been expanding since KZ2. SONY's even put GG in charge of another SONY studio (Cambridge Studio, now known as Guerrilla Cambridge).

Na, needs hard price drop on system and mem cards or just make a new model that's cheaper and takes micro SDXC cards

Won't be anywhere near Monster Hunter levels, but might help it a little bit. It's probably the lone Vita title I'm interested in at the moment.
Don't expect a 6 figure first week from it. It's a free-to-play game. It will be released on 28th of February as a free download. There is a retail edition which is doing fairly well on COMG & amazon.jp, which is very promising (as people are actively choosing to buy this game), but that doesn't change the fact that most people will just download it for free.
Regarding its impact, as I've been saying for a while, I had hoped that it, combined with Senran Kagura on the 28th and following on to the 7th when Soul Sacrifice & Tales of Hearts release will provide a boost in Japan. Who knows, Phantasy Star might actually end up being the best performing game. But I don't think it'll save the console. It certainly won't hurt to have an eastern-focused MMO on Vita though, and I do think it'll draw at least a handful of new consumers to the console.
PSO2 is already free to play on PC and will be free to play on Vita. It started out fun (last year) but the recent contents patches have turned it to crap. The game is all about getting lucky with rare drops, the economy is junk level unless you pour money into the cash shop, and the end game content is weak to non-existent. Everyone I know has quit already.
It's not the big title some people think it will be. Senran Kagura is likely to move more hardware units. As for action RPG hunting games, Soul Sacrifice, Toukiden, and God Eater 2 are all likely to be much better games.
