Meh, they're both Video game consoles.  So yeah, DS. 

Anywho, I stated that to say that 3DS is DS' successor, and it's not overpriced/underpowered, so it's no surprise to me that it's selling so well. It's been the number 1 video games on these charts for a long time.

and yet across the boarder, we have the 3ds' little brother, the wii U, being doomed down to the core, to the point of utter rediculousness.

Nintendo needs to get the 3DS attach rate up a bit - 2012 was the end of the run from 2006-2012 when either Wii or DS was the largest software platform for Nintendo. If 3DS doesn't become a 100m software market by the end of 2014, they're in for a fair amount of trouble. Wii U, even if it done well at launch probably wasn't going to be a 100m software market until 2014 at the earliest, and now it's look more like 2015 at the earliest.

People please drop the DS/PS2 debate, stuff could be said for both cases and this thread is not the place to do so.
