Sony has some really cool first-party IPs. I am a fan of LittleBigPlanet, inFamous and Uncharted. I also really like the backstory of the Killzone franchise.

I would add my dislike of Sony comes far more out of gloating internet fanboys who trolled against the likes of Sega, and put a seriously bad taste in my mouth than anything else. Although the arrogance of the PS3 launch did add something to it.

I knew there would be one person in this thread adding a disclaimer like "my dislike comes from fanboys", stop. Its not about that. Don't start that argument again because everyone has their reasons why they hate fanboy group X or Y, you're not the only one so the little disclaimer you include is unnecessary.

Nintendo: They are committed to making games for everyone, as well as strengthening their all ready established IPs with constant new releases for the fans.

Sony: They pump out a lot of retail exclusives and PS Plus has value to it.

that looked like it hurt

MS: Outside of RRoD, they make good hardware in general that are not limited to gaming.

SONY: Even though not as relevant these days, they set the standard on quality of consumer electronics.

Nintendo: 1st party games are good, a few misses but overall quality never really drops.

Since I actually very much like Sony and Nintendo.

Microsoft - Honestly speaking they have strong third party offering and the best in terms of online compared to the other three. Business wise the most intelligent of the three, and they showcase this in software.

Microsoft:

- Managed the Halo franchise extremely well, keeping it relevant yet unique in the onslaught of other FPS games.

- Attempted a lot of diversification earlier in the gen which I appreciate. Hiring studios like Mistwalker to make JRPG's; developing games like Banjo & Viva Pinata.
