Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo’s Lack of Interest From Gamers Force Them to Make More Bad Decisions

Its very tireing how people try to push and overexert this Wii U is doomed topic.

Nintendo just announced new bundles for the Wii U and new games on top of the ones already announced (pokemon rumble). This urge for things to be done for yesterday is ridiculous. No console can get that many games after launch and the cycle of game development is 2 years.

My opinion: People are bored. It got old to dish it out on the Vita so lets go on the Wii U now.

Its tireing. Nintendo has money and resources to change the situation in the future. The 3DS was doomed not long ago and now is the messiah. Just get down to earth and stop overeacting to everything in a couple of days.

ZOMG console X didnt sell millions per week and doesnt have 20 games coming out this month. DOOOM!

Cmon... its getting old.

uhh... Ninty said it was a 3DS focused Ndirect. If you were expecting more WiiU news then you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Why can't we down vote stupid article like this?

btw...a poll recently showed that PS3 fanboys were the worst among console owners...now, look at the OP's sig line....

You're offtopic, what did you add to this discussion??

What a narrow view of the world you most have. Just because someone likes games on the PS3 does not mean they hate Nintendo. WTH!?

are you living under a rock? the new titles where announced las January 23rd, it is less than a month since that, what do you expect, 5 new games every month? keep counting the days for GOW, The Last of US and others. Let the Nintendo gamers take a breath, it has been hard this past week because of some ridiculous excuses

I'm not quite sure why the author's expectations for this Nintendo Direct were so Wii-U focused.

His problem is that he rightly believes that Wii-U needs something major releasing soon to keep the platform viable in the short term. That's a legitimate concern. At a Nintendo Direct in February, however, I don't know what he could possibly be expecting that would achieve that goal. They just had a universally-successful ND last month announcing Wii-U games, showing their long term plans. Did he expect that since then, they'd have just thrown together some games to release in April?

In amongst all the silly Sony stuff that had been posted lately, I'd almost forgotten that Nintendo is the usual target for ridiculously ill-informed articles.

The 3DS also got an $80 price reduction which caused the company (in part) to post its first loss in its 100 year history. Are they going to to do the same thing with Wii U? My guess is no. Iwata was allowed to do that one time, he will not get the same leeway to do it twice.

And they secured Monster Hunter as an exclusive, which huge console IP can Nintendo do the same with and actually have release any time soon?

I think this is more that the Wii fad burst a long time ago and Nintendo just going back to their consoles being niche products, which was the trend before Nintendo struck gold with motion gaming.

Nintendo handhelds have been consistently popular all the way through, but the consoles were on a declining path, the "miracle" of the Wiimote basically masked that for about 4 years.

I can't understand that people were expecting a lot of wii u reveals. The european direct was a 3ds only, so to expect any big things from the american one was a bit of a bad choice. And, nintendo also needs to keep a few reveals to e3.

I think the author never saw the last ND and even so, atleast he got a taste of the 3rd party games that are coming... Not adding these from the last games that was showed and mentioned, I can see why he wrote it like this.

Either this or what Trunkin said, Reggie could be right about gamers being insatiable, even I thought that was laying it thick, but right now I can see he wasn't far off. . .
