Who said Wii U was going to have good third party?

And how in the world is that "talking smack"?

Did you see the gif that was a spin on the Fifth Element I posted?  I was talking about that animated GIF, and the expectations that Nintendo would be getting top 3rd party.

Wii U is built to be third party friendly, development-wise.

People were naive enough to think that that's what third parties care about.

Well some of the hype come from:

"At last year's E3, EA CEO John Riccitiello shared a stage with Nintendo global president Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime to announce that the two companies would join together in an "unprecedented partnership" for the launch of Wii U. "

And nopw, you are getting that EA won't be supporting the Wii U really at all?  Would this be "unprecedented" in the sense that Nintendo will be getting the Dreamcast treatment from EA which it never had before?

I can't see your gif, but allow me to explain what happened with another gif.

I approve of the GIF, but he doesn't hit the top of the flagpole. So he doesn't get a 1-UP on Nintendo. A bad miss there.

It's Kaz.  It'd be wrong if he did reach the top.

Actually, that's pretty precedented.

For Nintendo by EA it is?

Yes. Forgotten about the Trip Hawkins years?

It probably disappeared with all the other hype from the last five years. Hype serves no one.

The years prior to EA being into videogame consoles?  I excluded that because it was more of a decision by EA to not go into consoles period.  What would count as mattering here is if they do consoles and then treat Nintendo the way EA had Sega with the Dreamcast.  When else have they done that?   One can maybe argue stuff about the Wii, but I would count that as more the way the Wii was motion control centric.  They did stuff like Tiger Woods on it.
