Forums - Nintendo - Wii U gamepad - do you like it or not?

It's very comfortable, and in ZombiU and some Nintendoland minigames, it works very well.

However: The screen is too low res, the touchscreen should have been multi touch.

Right now, I think those two factors limit it from being amazing, I would have preferred them going with standard controller, and updated Wii Mote for casuals.

Maybe my mind will be changed at E3, but so far, ZombiU is the only game that is really made better by the gamepad.

it's come in handy for writing all that negative stuff about ubistiff on miiverse!

Its great, and surprisingly comfortable.

While I don't have the systems, I can say that I have tried it and I love it. It really is comfortable and has a very balanced weight. Can't wait to snag on of those Wii U's.

Loving the control, nice and light and find it very comfortable, love I can play games on there when my lass is watching tv, also use it to watch YouTube/netflix and just stick my headphones in, also can't wait to play vc games on there will be awesome.
I like in some games playing 2Player one can have the tv screen while the other can play on the gamepad

very comfy, but it can be a little over whelming if you've never held one. its a big learning curve to get used to.

Tried it and I don't like it, at all (so far) It might feel right at home for games like ... Rayman or other platformers. I tried it for NG3: RE. No thanks. I'll stick to conventional controllers for action games. I know it will feel right at home for Nintendo games so I'll reserve my judgement on it till I see more of their games.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I really like it and I got used to it as soon as I held it so overall pretty awesome

I dont have one, but when i tried one i thought the gamepad was surprisingly small and light.

I was gonna inquiry about the age of the thread starter for him to think its big and heavy ( for a kid it might be, i dunno), but i noticed he is banned... so, meh...

I don't own one, but I have tried it out. I find it to be very comfortable, and surprisingly well balanced. The screen has excellent viewing angles and contrast for what it is. Honestly, the only weird thing I found is that it feels more natural to have my middle fingers over the triggers and my index fingers over L1 and R. I imagine that the abysmal battery life would be a serious inconvenience, so if I get one I'll definitely be picking up Nyko's Power Pack.

Wait...that doesn't count as advertising, does it?
