This is North Carolina Republicans only. That said I doubt many really believe this it is probably being defensive about the recent gun controversy. Seems like worthless noise. Nothing about video games is going to change here.

Makes sense because A: Republicans tend to be older, and the video game skeptic crowd is going to be older and B: Republicans are fed a constant stream of "guns are good," meaning they're likely to consider anything as "more of a threat" than guns.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

You know, that's probably true. The videogame industry takes in a truck-load of money, it might be time to turn that into a powerful Washington lobby. The NRA literally tells the Republican party what to do on certain issues. I'm not making that up, many elected officials wait on advise from the NRA when select issues pop up. The gaming industry has the ear of a valuable demographic itself, so it's time to start up it's own political machine. |
Not really. The youth vote is more or less worthless except for presidential elections.

I think I'm seeing a trend here.

The average age of people who play videogames is going up. You don't try to influence older people, you work on younger people because they'll be older one day.

Knowing how Us government usually protects all forms of entertainment using the US Bill of Rights and consideringsurvies do not even even state how much the issue matters to people. It is not statistically significant, it is just a survey, and a basic question. Worthless noise.

Yeah, that's Tennessee. There's your problem.
(Lol, I'm just kidding... or am I?)
when you put those two options side by side, that's the result you are going to get. The pollers could think both are very insignificant to violence in america, but you won't know that from a poll like this.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I'm European. All I see is 'Murica!
I think a more interesting question would be "Do you think the following are dangerous to society? a) Guns b) Video games"
I would hope that considerably less than 67% of people would respond yes to video games.
