Eh, both games just seem watered down and "cinematic". It's all about the spectacle rather than the gameplay.

Shhhhh don't say that around the Sony fans.

More like, "don't say it around fans of gaming who know what they're talking about."  The gameplay looks bloody awesome.  All the media who have had hands-on time, that I've read, all died multiple times, especially to Clickers, because you have to think your way through the levels rather than just charge in with guns blazing.

I love how Tomb raider already flopped even though it isnt out yet. The general consensus really could use some censure sometimes.

Are you serious? What is the total opposite of previous TRs? Watching UC-gameplay-movies show that UC has way more "breaks" (cut-scenes) but it is very much like Tomb Raider, just different settings (and better graphics).

I don't have time to try to explain to you that Tomb Raider not inspired Uncharted... so I google it and got the first article... good read.

So your point is just an opinion from a now inactive user from n4g - wow. TR and UC *have* similarities. The action is just adjusted to nowadays way of action but it does not mean they don't have similarities. But who cares anyway - you have your opinion,  I have mine.

Well DMC flopped before the release lol I expect the same for Metal Gear Rising.

Just that some changes are for bad and not good.

Its like everything flops these days unless they sell several million copies like say Halo 4, Skyrim, Uncharted, GTA, Mass effect, etc.

I feel like theres an invisible hand guiding the lambs. Its disturbing.

That's interesting... tell me where Uncharted was inspired by old Tomb Raider? I'm open for discussion.

PS. Remember the hack of PS3? So the hack was the same like I said and could be used just for old PS3 like I said too.

I see the new Tomb Raider got stampted 'Uncharted' all over it. How can it Genre-defining?

Uncharted was inspired by TOMB RAIDER. Take your head out of your ass if you say otherwise.

Well if it does flop hopefully the price drops quickly so I don't pay 60 for it.

You really see no similarities between TR and UC? Platforming action-adventure, augmented with some mystery (artifacts and stuff), well-defined protagonist, shooting-action (althoug, like I said, evolved) and puzzle-solving. UC is however adjusted to nowadays gaming (no real life-bar, hiding to regenerate, overall quite easy) and has a lot more cut-scenes which was also introduced in TR1 (or so I think - perhaps RE1 was first with in-game 3d graphics-engine, that's too far away from me now).

And yes, I remember the thread. Where is it and where is your proof for this? A site listing all ps3-models and whether they are hackable would be nice.
