Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ubisoft announce Rayman Legends to go multiplatfrom, all versions releasing in September

I think it's pretty much a given that the 3rd party support for this is gonna be utter shite now.

No Madden 25 for WiiU
Rayman now multiplat

That to me shows EA and Ubisoft have little interest/faith in this console and they're 2 of the biggest studios/publishers in the world.

Wait, this was the very interesting news???

Yep. It's our fault that we took it this way. We needed to be more realistic.

IGN is stupid

LoL!

Not cool from Ubisoft. Not cause I don't want Microsony gamers to play the game (actually I don't care for it), but purely for the negative PR they're giving Nintendo. And they know it.

Do you think this is some kind of power struggle between Ubisoft and Nintendo? Maybe something happened behind closed doors that Ubisoft was very unhappy with.

Edit: Btw, what a bullshitty move from that IGN guy. Glad I stopped visiting that site long ago, when Casamassina started going berzerk. Could be another power struggle - IGN's relations to Nintendo are nowhere as close anymore as some years ago, IGN doesn't get any exclusive news or previews anymore, and the Nintendo Direct's surely aren't to IGN's liking either.

I am okay with Rayman Legends becoming a multiplat, but delaying the game until September is just a bad move. Anyone anticipating this game is probably no longer going to get it and it's going to have to go up against GTAV and some of Nintendo first party games.

I can understand making the game multiplatform since Origins were, and Wii U isn't exactly setting the charts on fire atm. I don't think delaying the Wii U version that much was a smart move though. Perhaps the game was far from done and they simply had to do it but getting the game out now when there's little competition would had been better for the game imo.

If IGN considers themselves  a serious gaming website. That's what they should do.

He also needs to tell her it's all her fault for expecting good news.

"Be realistic, honey."

....but.... the negative press would still be Nintendos fault. Ubisoft doesn't need to worry about Nintendos image while making decisions. That's absurd. And if you really think something happened behind closed doors than Nintendo must be a real lousy company considering first EA now Ubi.

I don´t think EA ever had any real interest in the system, unlike Ubisoft, and that´s troubling because this move is clearly due to lack of faith in the console.
