Forums - Sales - Gamestop's stock goes down by 10% on Xbox 720 anti-used game rumor

Gamechup

Gamestop’s investors aren’t liking the new anti-used game rumor that sprouted today.

The massive retailer makes a lot of profit from used game sales, and it’s something that also sustains the company. Their stock has gone down by over 10% at the time of writing this article and it’s something that should really worry them.

Check out the screengrab below which shows the significant drop. You can check it out yourself on Google or Yahoo Finance.

Update: down 11% now.

Why did this rumor have to creep up again?

Wow, that again. I hate that retailer but this is a bit much...

I make bad threads.

SSB really went downhill after Melee....

Guys, we should make this rumor once a week and watch the stock go down 10% every time.

Then, this summer, we all invest in GameStop!

What does this mean?

If it's true there is nothing they can do about it except try and weather the storm. Brick-and-mortar video game retail is definitely not a sector I'd want to invest in in this day and age.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

It's things like this that make me very upset over falsified rumors.

People don't seem to realize that things have real life impact, and thus should not just make up things.
