If this happens it would be a HUGE slap in the face for a lot of consumers that bought the PS3 on the promise of FFXIII and versus XIII as an exclusive. First XIII was not an exclusive and not a great game, and now versus will come to another console?
I've had a sneaking suspicion they'd do that. But at this point, I'm not going to believe it until I see it myself.
Watch, this game's gonna be the biggest disappointment since Duke Nukem Forever.

What if Final Fantasy Versus XIII is now Final Fantasy 15 and set to be an exclusive title for Sony's console, as it was planned to be for the PS3. This would then mean Final Fantasy 16 would be the next main entry in the series that would also appear on Microsoft's new console. Ultimately, we don't know. When IGN reached out to Square Enix we were told the company wouldn't comment on rumour or speculation. So for now, at least, we're going to have to wait and see. But with a big PlayStation event taking place in just over a week, who knows? Maybe we'll be hearing something sooner than we think... |
I knew this was coming the minute they shared that they were using Luminious studios for some of the lighting tech...I am betting this has switched to the Luminous engine, which is probably a good move for this game. PS4 launch or shortly after launch...I also think there is merit to this game being rebranded FFXV, at this point it just makes sense. They need a new look and feel to the franchise after the lackluster 13 series and so far the things I have seen about this game have been very promising. Best to disassociate this with the XIII label.

Too human started as a PS1 game it was moved to Gamecube and finally released on Xbox360, so nothing new if FFvXIII goes to PS4
