I'm hoping the NextBox launches with a Halo Trilogy 1080 remastered edition. But I doubt we would count those sales for Halo 3 lifetime.

That would be a good idea, I don't think it'll happen though.

And no, it wouldn't be counted towards the original Halo 3.

SSBB will keep on selling till the next super smash game while Halo3's sale will seriously drop cause of Halo4. I think SSBB will keep outselling Halo3 from now on, but if it will be enough to close a 200k gap I'm not sure.

if that were true metroid prime 1 will be even more higher, or remakes (which nintendo does well) if counted have crazy # sales EX pokemon red/blue + firered/leafgreen= Over 42mil copies O.o

Using retail numbers it's surely going to be SSBB. With unknown digital sales, Halo 3 should be quite a few 100ks higher (was released online about 3 years ago).

oh it will http://www.vgchartz.com/yearly/2013/Global/ SSBB sold over 50k in the worst month of the year (in terms of sales) and its strong point is holidays! This game is outselling PSASBR(PS3) by over 10k this year

For simplicity sake it really shouldn't matter. If a movie gets released on 20 different formates for 80 years nobody seems to question it's sales numbers. But if a game moves from SD to HD it suddenly is a new game and doesn't count anymore. Remakes are a different story, but re-releases, even HD remasters, are pretty much the same and no different than a B&W re-released in Technicolor.

If those counts then remakes should be included, Anyway that would mean the original mario bros is over 50mil then correct?
