Didn't they say that about: Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, ect?

They are talking more about effiency than power in this instance though.

Well if Naughty Dog is saying it this late in the Gen then it is probably true
The Last of Us is the first game to combine insane good graphics with a complete new level of AI - This is probably more important than anything.
This will be a stepping stone for future Gens.No one had ever created such humanity in a game.

Naughty Dog is by far the best developer in this Gen.
They mastered the best console hardware of this Gen and showed everyone how powerful this beast is.
They even managed to outperform the other Sony 1st/2nd Party studios who are working and competing on their skill level.
It is insane when you think from what games they came to things like Uncharted and The Last of Us.

Oh and it only shows how bad - a lot - Multiplat Devs were in this Gen
Every Multiplat that did run worse on the PS3 showed how bad the Developers has to be cause obviously Naughty Dog(and Santa Monica Studios,Quantic Dream,Guerilla Games) showed how far superior and how much power the PS3 has.
They should have charged only 30 bugs for their bad efforts.If they can't do their job then try cleaning a floor in a highschool or so but stop trying to develop games and give the best console of this gen a bad reputation.
They showed that it is possible to master the architecture.
Good Sony is going the "low quality PC" way with the PS4 so those developers don't have any excuses anymore for being just bad at their job.

The developers who made those games. I remember Quantic and Naughty Dog telling us how they're maximizing the Ps3's potential when those games were releasing. 

well after seeing the latest gameplay for last of us, i think its a good choice for GOTY, and almost certainly looks better than any game on any other consoles.

its always good to see new games all the time and not the same revolving franchises year in year out

You kind of have to believe Naughty Dog when they say it. They refused to work on Uncharted 4 until the next gen because they wanted Uncharted 4 to be a graphics and power leap over part three. Hell, they are probably working on it as we speak.
