here's a problem, Alan Wake for example was ported on the PC (which sold pretty well) since the sales on the xbox were on the low end. sony and nintendo titles sell well

here's another, MS has proven this gen that it does not give a flying cr@p about studios that don't make mega hits (for example japanese rpg devs, remedy)

here's a third, porting such games would take a lot of money itself and usually the results are pretty bad since we are talking about completely different architectures (unlike the 360 and the PC which are pretty similar) example; the crappy port of Dark Souls

horrible comment.  Halo, Halo 2, Fable , Fable III, and now possibly Halo 3. also sell badly?  Nooope.  That's what i thought.

halo, halo 2 and fable were first xbox games. when we see Gears 3 and Halo 4 on the PC THEN we will talk.

Oh yes just ignore every other game i said.  Every one of those games are games that sell insaley well including Halo 3 which has sold 11 million. What PS3 game has sold 11m?  Oh that is right......Im fine with you disagreeing but dont act like that.  And MSFT published gears 1 on PC as well.  I see absolutely no reason that you gave on why this is a bad idea.  It is a simple way to mazximize profts but you bring up something that makes you yourself look bad by saying things that are completely false.

And notice i said years later.  for example port them whene ps4 comes out.

Every other game ? Halo 3 is not on the PC. All three of my points stand.

I'm pretty sure Everquest and Planetside are Sony PC games.

The dude said nothing about the PS3, don't derail the thread, Man!

Don't waste your breathe, derail the thread with the brilliant idea of wasting a tone of money to port games on a platform that is also known as thr Pirate Console is not a big deal.

This entire thread is about PS3Sony/Nintendo.  Im sure you seen him attack miscrosoft so dont suggest something to me

Anyone who wants to play these games would have bought the console. From my experience PC gamers tend to have their PC and then the console with the exclusives they like the mos (not normally the 360), so I don't think they'd sell amazing on PCs (if they're late ports). Also if they did this then the gamers wouldn't need to have the complementary console which would go against what sony and ninty want.

Harry up and make a point. the only successful 360 title that made it to the PC is fable 3.

and i never attack ms without a valid point, in other words i don't make threads like this

What is your valid point aexactly?  I said very clearly in the OP after years which includes PS2 and old nintendo titles.  Not just titles that is on current consoles.

Fable 3, Gears of War, Alan Wake was all allowed to go to PC which is in this generation.  Then you have older titles like Halo 1, 2, maybe 3 coming soon, and fable 1.  All of these games sell well so what would be bad about bringing ratchet and clank, jak and daxeter, god of war 1&2 from the PS2 to PC?  Or old Super Mario Bros, Donkey King Kountry, etc.  The only thing i could see coming from this is more profits for games that potentially dfoesnt sell anymore.   You are the one not making any valid point on why it is a bad idea to not do something so go ahead and give me reasons to why this is a horrible idea.  I never said bring Super Mario galaxy or uncharted 3 to PC.  I said older titles that are no longer selling.

Actually some sony exclusives might be available on pc pretty soon, depending on what way they choose to go with Gaikai.

No, Nintendo's exclusives are what allows them to survive, they have some of the best exclusives in the industry. Sony might, but only their minor exclusives, not their major exclusives like Uncharted or God of War.

come on give it up. the first Gears is the same case as the first xbox titles: there was not a big enough established gamer base on the console counterpart so they didn't have much to lose. fable 3 is your only example really. alan wake was ported cause it did not do well on the 360

what you are describing is a sad sell out, halo 3 on the pc would be a sad sell out. halo 3 is 360's identity ! the PC is a piracy black whole and i already explained how unlike xbox games porting sony and nin titles is much more expensive and most of the time in bad quality (dark souls)

whatever im done
