Forums - Gaming - Would it be smart if Sony/Nintendo would put their exclusives on PC

Microsoft already puts many of their first party games on PC after a few years when they stop selling anyways.  Would it be smart if sony/Nintendo did the same?  Can you imagine games like Heavy rain, god of war, and zelda on steam.  They would sell a crazy amount.  I think it would be a smart decision myself but that is just me.

Microsoft supports PC, PC built their company, Dude!

Sony and Nintendo just don't give a crap about PC.

Sony? Maybe. Nintendo? Maybe.
Would Sony do it? Maybe. Would Nintendo do it? No.

If Nintendo wants to continue selling consoles - no.

Then you would get people saying "I can play God of War on my PC which is made by Microsoft so Sony has no exclusives herp derp". I realize people say this for some Xbox exclusives that are available on PC but I still consider them exclusives they are mostly only available on windows PC and therefore is still exclusive to Microsoft.

Planetside 2 says other wise.  It would maximize profits for games and it would also take away from people pirating on pc like Dolphin.  Heavy Rain would probably be pretty successful on steam as well.

Yes MSFT built PC but either way it is a smart business strategy that id like to see the other to take as well.

Sony and Nintendo make their games exclusive so that more people would buy their console. That's the whole point

More exclusives=hardware sales=Money

And so does MSFT but once they stop selling well what is stopping them from putting it on PC?  I mean it is digital so it is not like they are putting money into physical media.  All this does is maximizes profits and literally does not effect their hardware

Worst idea never. PC games have a tough time selling with piracy and such.

I make bad threads.

SSB really went downhill after Melee....

Nope. The opposite might work well for Nintendo, if you could wirelessly stream "Nintendo certified" (meaning the publisher pays Nintendo a $10 licensing fee) PC games to the Wii U. That would open a whole new library of games to play.
