Patcher believes the Wii only succeed due to luck and that this lucky streak won’t be continuing with the Wii U, since being novel won’t be to help Nintendo this time. But he does believe Nintendo fans and hardcore gamers will still buy the console.

He was right with that one.

It might have been Pachter's way of saying, that it will be more powerful than the competition. I doubt he knows a lot about the tech part of the consoles ;-P

If Pachter was correct (which I'm sure he isn't) his analysis would be equal to:

"Sony plans to exit the console buisness in 3 years!"

The system he is hyping would potentially cost $900 or $1000 to produce; and Sony would be left selling it at a price people wouldn't be willing to pay ($750+), or selling it at a massive loss ($500+) that would probably bankrupt the company.

pachter is wrong most of the times...but this statement is flat out silly and only confirmes that he doesn't have any idea of next gen...

It can do 1080p 60 FPS in 3D... so 120 FPS in fact.

Just to added a little more...

With hardware customizations and optimizations for consoles plus the specifics units to free up the resources in the GPU/CPU I can say for true the HD 7850 present in PS4 can do results on pair or better than the top GPU in the market... GTX 680.

We will see some 4k games too.

Is this a joke thread? It'll do 1080p and 60FPS, but not much more at launch. Perhaps a bit better with select games in the future, but no off the bat.
