EA says “its not next gen”
Gearbox is working on FPS for Wii U and the other two next gen console and is using the UE 4…
So the Wii U is not next gen but can get the same games as the next Xbox and PS4 and use the UE 4
Can you guess who’s lying?

That awkward moment when you remind the thread starter a phone can run UE4. I'm not saying the Wii U is a phone, just reminding you what Epic themselves said. Also this rumor is highly suspect to begin with.
EDIT: You should put rumor in the title & provide a link, you can't just state a very likely bogus rumor as fact like that.
Smartphones can run the UE4
But its a difference if you get (below) Low Settings or Max out the Engine(with a PC probably)
The PS360 can run Battlefield 3 and this game is using their NextGen Engine the Frostbite 2 Engine.
But the difference is that the Console versions are completely different(less players, small maps, not the same effects and everythingelse) but they run the FB2 Engine.
The CryEngine 3 is running on PS360 too and the Luminous Engine in some parts(lightning effects) is already used in Versus13.
Being able to run a "NextGen" Engine on outdated hardware(smartphone for example) means nothing. There is a wide range of available settings and how close you are to max them out.
In terms of raw power and i think this is what defines "NextGen" the WiiU is probably not in the same league as the PS4 and NextBox.
As pointed out above it doesn't matter if it does, insofar as graphics quality could still be drastically different between the WiiU and other console versions of UE4 games. It matters only in that it means, theoretically, that games could be ported relatively easily between consoles.
One thing I am fairly certain of though, the best looking games on the Wii U will not use UE4.
ue4 is very scalable and can run on almost every device. the question is, if wii u will be really "much" weaker as the other next gen consoles, will developers still make the games for wii u if they make them for nextbox and/or ps4 if they use ue4.
if it is really as simple as epic said i think we could see some ue4 games on wii u but only time will tell.
and if that will be the same with other engines is the next question...
EA said it was next gen before and now they are saying it is not lol
