saints row only started to be good with part 3 lol. ok to be honest i didn't play 2 because i didn't like 1 but i got 3 with an indie bundle and i really like it.

doesnt that come down to a matter of opinion moslty? but when a majority of gamers and game press say a game is better than its prequal then it kinda seem like it is

The pic looks nice but there is definitely some untapped power left for next gen. Looks good but not impressive good.
Someone remember that next gen video from that small (I think East European) developer ? I can't find it unfortunately but that looked really good.


Also the difference between X and Final Fantasy XIII really isn't that big. Obviously FFXIII is much more linear but we have seen similar visuals from the not as linear FFXIII-2 and the open world Versus XIII.

Yeah, it really does feel somewhere in-between realtime engine and concept art - I'm honestly hoping to see some bold developer do something like that in next-gen, and try to move away from pure realism. I posted several times in various threads around here some pictures of contemporary neosurrealism, and this screenshot, though not so "sur"realistic in any way, reminds me bit of those pictures.

Which I backed up with arguments. I'm not gonna repeat myself over and over.
And I never said the Witcher 3 will not look better than Crysis, I said the picture in the OP doesn't look better than Crysis. I fully understand it's work in progress and that an eventual 3rd Witcher will utilize more of the engine. And that that presents the possibility of better graphics.

Also, I don't understand why I can't judge a game just because I haven't played it. Could you please explain that to me? Really, what is the difference between seeing gameplay footage at max settings compared to playing it?

I doubt that will happen. I've said numerous times now what I've said is my opinion. It's not my problem that my opinion isn't respected as such. You can disaree with it and say why you believe otherwise but making backhanded remarks to try and diminish my opinion right off the bat is disrespectful imo.

as i said in other posts this is still work in progress. and if this becomes the standard of games then this is a good jump, just look at call of duty then take a look at this, there is a big leap

a lot of developers had games with different art styles than realisim. borderlands for example was one, it had this 2d feel to it
