Wow, this doesn't look any better than what we've seen in previous years...

Crysis 1 looks better than this.

wow, and you can tell all this from a single low res screen ..

Why not, others use it to say it looks better than anything that has been released so far...

and I don't consider their opinions any more valid than yours, but you were the first one to voice that nonsense and people replied to you with their own

ah yea, the picture is enlargened here (which makes it look blurry), the original size is even smaller than that

what? only things are better looking than this are games that run on max settings on the pc, this looks alot better than skyrim on pc as well

Really?

This is my Skyrim.
Bethesda is just a bunch of lazy money hungry Xbox Fanboys. The PC Version didn't look much better than the 360 Version at all.
But suddenly 2 weeks after the Mod support was enabled this did happen...Weird...are some fans better than Bethesda and can achieve such things in just 2 weeks?Give those fans please the UE4,CryEngine3 and other stuff if they are that good.

@CD Project
They are a PC Company. The Console Version of Witcher 2 didn't even reach the Low Settings of the PC Version.
They said they will ALWAYS go max out on PC and that is their main platform. The NextGen Consoles won't reach anywhere near to current PC possibilities.
IF(the important word cause Crytek lied to the PC Community too with Crysis2 and now 3) they stay true to their words you can be happy you will see Maxed out Witcher 2 Settings on NextGen Consoles.Maybe if they are gods Low Settings of the new games.
The PC is jumping right now massive steps especially with all those new engines coming out.Not even the PS4 will be able to keep up especially not in the early days when no one can max out the new console hardware. This will take years before we see a game that is using 50% of the new power.
PC always has the option to get  maxed out with ease.

Yea Skyrimg is weak ass without mods.

But you shouldn't compare mods to an unmodded game.  I mean I have like 50 some mods on my skyrim to make it look how I want it to.  Of course half of them are armor or weapon things and npc/companion ect stuff.

Curious quick.  Baron did you watch the ultra settings PC version or the 360 version?  Also PC games will be 1080p or higher on a decent computer and going 60+ fps.  You are not going to see anything like that on consoles.

speaking of which i never even tried ultra settings yet.  I hadn't upgraded my pc yet when witcher 2 first came out and back then the ultra settings seemed to be too strong for everyone in the world that i never even tried it when i upgraded.  Wonder if I can and how it looks.

I saw this posted on IGN by a commenter.

Not sure if this is blown up, or what the original size is for the picture that we got, but here is the picture the largest I found.

that one looks weirdly oversharpened and 1200x750 is not a resolution I would expect from a 1:1 screenshot either

hopefully we will get to see some good quality videos of the engine in motion soon

Yea its one pic for a game that will likely be massive and amazing.

Just posted it cause regardless of its resolution and/or sharpening, ect done it still is easier to look at than the opening pic.

Man I can't wait till 720 and PS4 come out.  It's starting to get annoying what expectations people have for these things.  I'm not saying they won't have by gen's end better graphics than this game, but the launch games won't be top PC game quality right now.  I just don't get how people don't understand that.  PC's right now are more powerful than the 720 and PS4 will be.  So how do you guys expect games more powerful than PC's have?

I'm sorry but what are the upgraded difference from this gen graphics?
Kinda looks the same?

Looks great, way better than any unmodded rpg's around this gen.

I also really like the idea of an explorable world without loading times, the constant loading screens on many rpgs break immersion considerably.

That's what most of us are talking about when we laugh at people thinking that PS4 or others are going to be 10x wii u.

There isnt' going to be a much of a jump at all this gen.  Sure by the ps4's end life cycle it will look a lot better than ps3, but it will take time to get there.

Also the OP pic is insanely small and its just a pic.  Plus its not exactly in a flatering location.  If you notice most pics people are using to compare are pics of places with folliage up the wazoo.  Just watch this Witcher 2 video and you will see that Witcher games look great in folliage dense areas, so I'm sure Witcher 3 will look amazing in those areas too.

That is at end of Witcher 2, its not witcher 3 gameplay, fyi

it doesnt look the same. if you take a close look at the models it shows that they are higher res, also multiple light sources light up the scene, the lighting is really great in this. the ground has much higher res textures and normal/bump maps. add to all that that this is still work in progress and that, didnt see any shot with characters in it and its this one single shot, this just points out that there is going to be a significant leap. the lighting is really amazing in this shot, its why i really liked it for the most part also the draw distanst seems pretty good, much better than current gen games like red dead redemption or assasins creed

And it looks almost the same as current gen. Nothing impressive, sorry guys.
