I would go with the second option. 

looking at the situation i'd disagree. i'd go with both because, Sony know they screwed up, but MS knows that Sony sprints well.

noble? we are talking about a 10m unit lead that's now down to 1.6 or so, so both companies need to be worried about the other.

we are not talkign about loses my friend. we are talking about the long run, and once Sony started outselling 360 ww, they never stoped, and that's the main reason the first is just as true as the second. 

Whoa whoa whoa, buddy... let's get the numbers straight here. The gap started at around 5.5 million, not 10 million. And it actually increased to about 8 million at one point at it's maximum before the PS3 finally had big price cuts and more core game releases to cut that down over the last 4-5 years (of which MS has not cut the price at all).

that's not the point of my post, and what you bolded is why it doesn't matter. the gap is closed. Sony made a comeback. that's the point.

i could have said the gap was 30m, and it wouldn't matter. it would be the biggest error in vgc history, but the point of the post was Sony made a comback nd no console maker is safe or has an advantage in the 8th gen.

Seeing that Sony has probably 10x as many products to market at once, that would not surprising.

When it comes to gaming, doubtfull. Remember, MS bragged that the marketing for the Kinekt is more expensive than anything before it MS pushes their consoles a LOT, they have the money to spare, and they are allways the loudest. Do you even remember this pathetic stunt?
