It already has a price cut on my local retailer. It goes for 187 euros the wifi-model.

I might actually buy one in february.

 

The biggest problem isnt the price of the system tbh, but the price of those memory cards. Thats ridiculous.

Umm, Tbone... unless you have some capcom confirmation, I believe they said there was no Vita version of MH4. Given the 2 year exclusivity contract, there wont be one until next year the earliest.

But, hopefully PSO2 will be out by then.

In the Summer, i don't think Sony can afford to wait until September or October to do a price cut. But whenever it happens, i'm getting it straight away :)

If I were Sony, I'd ride out the end of the fiscal year (March) and call it a write off.  Japan is getting some good games in March anyway.  Then cut the price with a big game - for example, western release of Soul Sacrifice OR Killzone Mercenary if it's ready in time, by April/May.  Start the new FY off with a bang.

Problem is there's not much coming in April/May in Japan that we know of that would go well with a price cut.  All the big stuff is in March.  They kind of need it to coincide with Soul Sacrifice/Tales of Hearts, but I don't see that happening.

Announced at E3. 50% cut for cards on their own and a $200/£150 price point for the Wi-fi model + 4gb + 1st party game.

EDIT: Possibly a price cut earlier than that in Japan, around the same time as Tales of Hearts and Soul Sacrifice release.
