Forums - Nintendo - What are they doing at Retro?

Two titles, one relatively close to completion,the other just starting, hence the hiring of artists. The first will be Nintendo's 2013 Christmas game.

For all we know their MK7 work was a trial run, and they've been working on MKU since then.

Gosh that would be a gigantically colossal waste of their talent. xD Also, I doubt a Mario Kart game would take that long to develop.

Given that Mario Kart 7 and Super mario 3d land saved the 3ds from obscurity between the 2 of them then they're responsible for 1/4 saving the 3ds which makes them golden in my books for life :D

2004 was 9 years ago, so Metroid Prime 2 doesn't count. They haven't released any new game this year, so that makes just 2 games.

Retro is quite possibly the second most overrated studio that has ever existed. Only Lionhead is more overrated.

It seems Retro has been working on this game for awhile. Even before question of THQ going under. I doubt that's what they're currently doing.
