Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade is Awesome!

Happy to hear you are enjoying it. Trust me, the best is still to come cause that game keeps getting better and better as you move forward :D

Xenoblade is by far my favorite RPG and 1 of my favorite game ever. The story and character were amazing, I hope that X has a story that is as good. Sure X's trailer was awsome and graphics are super pretty, but the story is what made Xenoblade for me and If X lack the charm that Xenoblade did, I doubt I'll be able to enjoy it nearly as much.

Well, for me the purchase was justified already after the Intro. Seeing the two fighting giants and then the zoom to the areas on the titans and people living there - that was just great. The rest of the game could have been total crap, I would have played it smiling. But it wasn't crap. Bt always as you reminded you're on a titan, that are the moments that make the game so phantastic. The scene as you reach the kneecap hill and look for the first time on Mechonis and then up to Bionis itself and the swords. The point for me was, I could not only do that in the cutscene, I could stop in the game, look up and see parts of the giants. That's just a great setting. I don't think they can do something similar for X, but I will buy it in any case, because Xenoblade was also a pretty good RPG.

Just wait till he gets to Gaur Plains guys. Or better yet Eryth Sea lol.

Or Makna Forest or Valak Mountain...

I wish I could get amnesia so I could go back and experience this game all over again as something completely new...

Valak mountain at night. Just go to a vantage point and enjoy the scenery.

Thanks. I aczually decided against buying a WiiU for now as I have such a big backlog and dont want to be bothered with transferring files.

The only reason I might is that I could finally play Zelda II again.

Well, Zelda II is on the 3DS-VC (I play it). That could be another option for getting it.

Now I'm thinking of getting the game to.
Only €35 used here :D and metroid prime triology only €30 used :o

You really should be snatching both of those up immediately. And laughing your ass off at the fool who traded them in.

That was the plan :P

It's hard to know a game is awesome until you play it. Xenoblade's release so late in the Wii's life - and only after pleading from fans - really hurt it. I mostly gave up playing Wii a while back because I find the SD visuals look terrible after playing in HD. But I wanted to play the game and I waited till I had a WiiU because I didn't want to transfer the save file, and I was curious how the game would look with HDMI output. But I've been totally blown away with the title. I'm only in the early stages, but even Colony 9 is so detailed and vast. I love that everything you see is real and part of the interactable game. There is nothing that is just background. You climb high into the mountains and look down upon the colony in full detail in the distance.

When I say the game reminds me of FFX, I mean that as the highest compliment as FFX is among my absolute favorite games of all time. It's a different game, but it is comparable in visuals, music, unique setting, sense of adventure and a starring character who is both part of the story but also good at being the player's window to the world. Other games I feel it draws from are FFIV(style), WoW(combat) and Halo(setting, visuals). It is also a totally unique experience in its own right. I also like that there is lots of loot to fully equip, and that character appearence is changed by equipment - something that FF often lacks.

So can the wiiU play all wii games?

I think it was like 95% of them. So, yeah. Almost all of them.

I'm pretty sure they are :D Unless a game REQUIRES something to be plucked into the GCN ports it will run fine on the WiiU
