This is not true for many things. Houses, for example, are on government property. If they want your land, they can take it.

Your car can be searched by the police, even without your consent, if there is probable cause.

If I buy a computer, that doesn't mean I can do whatever I want with it. It doesn't mean I can hack into others' computers and steal their credit card information and spend their money.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Thank god rooting is fine!

Your analogies make no sense.

Government can only take your property in certain situations. If they need to build a school or airport, they have grounds to take it and give you compensation for it. This has nothing to do with modifying your house though.

How does searching a car relate to this? You can modify your car all you want so long as modifications don't interfere with safety laws.

Same with computer - it's yours, modify as you wish.

I don't think you understand at all.

The title is wrong. It has nothing to do with jail breaking or rooting your phones. It is referring to "unlocking" your phone so you can use it on a different carrier. Meaning, people used to buy an at&t phone and have it unlocked so it could be used on T-Mobile. That is what is now illegal. However, its stupid and won't last or stick or even be enforceable.
