This is not true for many things. Houses, for example, are on government property. If they want your land, they can take it.
Your car can be searched by the police, even without your consent, if there is probable cause.
If I buy a computer, that doesn't mean I can do whatever I want with it. It doesn't mean I can hack into others' computers and steal their credit card information and spend their money.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
