I think X looks better right now, but X is still in development and will likely look better once it releases. From the trailer we can see some things aren't finished and it has janky animation in one place. Versus XIII now uses the Luminous Engine for lighting, and this trailer is 2 years old already.


It's Upscaled, look at Noctis' back at the 1:15 mark, see the blending effect?  That's a classic indication of sub HD, unfortunately.

I think they were just working on creating the wheel right around then, it took awhile until they realized to round off them corners.

I think this game is probably dead.  No news about this game and next generation is about to start.  I guess this game could still be released for PS3 after PS4 is announced/released, but it would be dead on arrival.....

I wouldn't be surprised if it's native sub HD, wouldn't be the first game to be upscaled.

I wouldn't compare the 2 though, one is KH based combat and the other one is MMORPG based combat, they don't play the same, though Versus 13's combat looks atrocious right now and I doubt Versus 13 would have a Gear or a Doll for you to ride in while zooming across the map at high altitudes. Very different art styles too.

Hmmmm yeah I just watched Versus 13 and X trailers again. Versus 13's combat is like KH combat without the crazy and totally rubs me off the wrong way ATM, I mean I'll keep in on my Newegg pre-order but just saying.

The 1080p Youtube one uploaded by Square looks good enough surely?
