Wizard Edition can still be preordered for 89 Eur on amazon.de.

Seems like its no problem to get Ni no kuni (both Editions) in other shops aswell. Before anyone pays 300 on Ebay order EU versions its english (book/game) so even with shipping minus 20% VAT you will pay 125 Dollar for it.

But it doesn't have the Club Namco exclusive items and I heard the packaging of the EU version is pretty cheap. Also it is to note that the different downloadable contents won't work with the EU version of the game.

Pretty cheap packaging ? Are you refering to the rating logo printed on the cover in Germany ? There is no reason why the packaging is any different than in the US both have a similar MSRP (99$/89E).

To the DLC well I have Accounts for US/Jap/EU so its not an issue if you don't care about trophies. The Club Namco exclusives , well I give you that, if its worth paying 3 times more than its ok. What exactly are the Club Namco exclusive items ?

The packaging is different between both regions.

You'll agree that the NA one looks much better.

The Club Namco exclusive items are a coin, 5 artwork cards and a soundtrack CD (2 or 3 tracks).

Do you think the EU/PAL edition is still worth 300$+? It was avalable to pre-order in stores and it's missing some items

Still wondering what i should do with mine when i get it =/

Well the EU/PAL version is selling for about 120$ on amazon.de (still in stock there). I'm not sure at how much it's selling on ebay. I think you can still sell it for 200$+ though.

You certainly won't lose money that's for sure though you might not make a big profit.

and also apparently some ebayer ordered hundred(s) of wizzards editions from the namco site and could be the reason for this entire fiasco...what a bastard.

Namco had this to say about PlayCanada:

"NAMCO BANDAI Games America is not, nor has it ever, worked with or in conjunction with the EBay seller known as “PlayCanada” to sell units of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition at a price premium on EBay.

According to our records, this individual or group of individuals purchased Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition during the NinoStarter promotion period (August 2012); at which time, no limits were placed on how many units an individual could order."

I think they ordered like 250 units but back during the Ninostarter there were no limit to how many units you could order. So PlayCanada made a very smart decision. I think all the blame should go to Digital River for screwing up with their ordering system.

One thing I love about tracking on UPS, I can see it actually went by my place Yesterday (was North, now South, route would have taken them within few minutes of my apartment) and now sits within a 10-15 minute drive...sitting there...taunting me.

i really liked the look of this game and i like level 5 and studio ghibli, i actually had the wizards edition preordered for months, but after playing the demo i cancelled it, i just couldnt get into it and it put me off the game, i was playing it just thinking to myself "im just not enjoying this game"
so there should be a wizards edition recently become available on AmazonUK being as i cancelled mine.

must admit i was sad the demo put me off enough to cancel my preorder because i really thought id like ninokuni with the level5/studioghibli collaberation.

Honestly I don't even know how you're supposed to enjoy a JRPG based on a demo...

It takes me at least 4-5 hours into a JRPG to start truly enjoying it.

Party AI in this game is driving me nuts. Why didn't they put in systems similar to Dragon Age, FFXII/XIII? The party members are so..fucking...dumb. I spent an hour trying to capture a monster, and Oliver decided to AoE as soon as I managed to finally get it to turn into heart mode. So he killed it.

Just play as Oliver and once the monster goes into heart mode, switch to defense, then hop over to Esther and capture them. They don't run off right away.

I have yet to have any issues capturing monsters.

Mind you I only just finished up with the volcano.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

And the thought that a demo has the ability to completely turn you around from preordering (I really want this game!) to I don't care about it anymore....

Man, that's just preposterous.

And that's the number 1 reason why I don't play any demo for games. I don't want it to ruin my expectations and experiences for the full game, especially JRPGs where story drive the games.
