Entertainment and Electronics Expo is not the "Hardcore Gamers Conference"

Casual titles are fine but they should budget their time well. Wonderbook, Wii music and Kinect shoe surely game us wonderful things to laugh at. It is a mainstream event covered by even non gaming publications. So they want to show people with money (casuals) what they can buy when window shopping at walmart etc.

E3 has become a mainstream show. It's probably the only video game related conference during the year that non gamers might pay attention (because of the media). I expect all companies to show a lot of casual games.

I sincerely hope that we never have to see Usher again at E3. Wonderbook and Kinectimals deserve horrible deaths too.

Clearly you people dont understand what E3 is all about... its not about games

Its about giving nerds the chance to be in actual close proximity to a woman other then their moms..



They died happily as a virgin 2 minutes after this picture was taken cause of a heartattack..

yes they should stop showing them at E3 but instead go on like the today show if want casual gamers to buy their products

If they can get Oprah to endorse one of their casual games it's a guaranteed million seller lol. 

Gamers are always actually looking for news, release dates, new games, whatever, we know all that we need to know, casuals on the other hand don't, they don't know when the new Wii Fit, Just Dance, or ''special'' game (wonderbook, wii sports, party games, etc) will come out so companies need to tell them and the E3 is probably the only (or should i say the most by far) mainstream place where videogame companies can say ''this'' and everyone will know about it, they need people who don't usually know about videogames to see that there's something they should buy.

People buy products so people = money,  more people knows about this product = more people buys it, more people buys this product = more money (product being videogames in general not an specific one)

They need to reach every possible consumer why would they miss their biggest oportunity to do so, that when people who normaly doesn't care, actually do.

exactly who ever thinks it is a good idea to show casual games at E3 should be fired 

e3 has changed a lot .. but it isn't a bad thing at all...nowadays more people play video games than ever before...and it wouldn't be right just to show hard core games at such a popular expo like E3..developers will risk to loose money in the long run because casual gamer won't be drawn to their games and therefore won't buy them...
Gaming devs needs to offer everyone something to compete with companies like Apple etc.
E3 is huge...there are documentaries about it...I didn't see anything or much less things like that for a less popular show like TGS or GDC...but thats just my OP

So no, they shouldn't stop but they should keep a balance between hardcore games and casual ones
