e3 has changed a lot .. but it isn't a bad thing at all...nowadays more people play video games than ever before...and it wouldn't be right just to show hard core games at such a popular expo like E3..developers will risk to loose money in the long run because casual gamer won't be drawn to their games and therefore won't buy them...
Gaming devs needs to offer everyone something to compete with companies like Apple etc.
E3 is huge...there are documentaries about it...I didn't see anything or much less things like that for a less popular show like TGS or GDC...but thats just my OP
So no, they shouldn't stop but they should keep a balance between hardcore games and casual ones
