I can take advantage of surround sound on my Vita with my headset.

Anyone can do that... but I'm sure Capcom wanted SS without the Headphones.

I'm sure that's what it is because everyone has surround sound speakers. Or large screens for that matter.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Those have pretty large screens. (Larger than Vita.) Not sure about the speakers, though.

I'm sure this is just a Console port from the 3DS Exclusive game. It would be different if they re-made RE:R for the 3DS too and then did nothing for Vita.

He speaks the truth. The 3DS and PS Vita do indeed have different screen resolutions. PS360, Wii U, and PC versions will run natively at 400*240 no doubt.

He should have said the truth: "It's going to sell a low number of units on Vita, so it makes no financial sense for us"

Yes becuase the wii u verison will sell like it has all the bell and whistles on.

Don't you know that Nintendo has moneyhatted Capcom? That's the only reasonable explanation to MonHun exclusivity, and this is only one example more. Sony should open the wallet if they want more Capcom Vita games ^_^

If that was the reason, I'm pretty sure they would have done something about it by now. They can get some money from that building they just sold lol

Most laptops and all the desktops that can run acceptabily this game have HDMI ports. Vita lacks it.

I was just trying to use sarcasm, but as English is not my native language, I must have failed.

The thing with computer monitors is proximity. Ironically that is also true for handhelds. What this guy said has nothing to do with an actual reason. It was just something he said to defend Capcoms decision. He didn't tell us why they decided not to put it on Vita and that is the point behind "the reason might surprise you". It was a terrible damage control comment from someone with a lack of knowledge or without the go ahead to actually say something. It would have been better if he didn't say anything at all because the ones asking the question are the ones who are going to be upset by what he said. It's a big fail on his part.

Also 3DS couldn't handle a remake of RE:R. The 3DS couldn't push anymore graphics or effects than it already did with that game. They would have to add content and release an extended version or something to do that.

There are a few possible reasons Capcom did this:

1. Handheld exclusivity contract with Nintendo. Nintendo was shaken up enough by their stockholders that they had an early major price cut on the 3DS. It wouldn't surprise me if they decided on some anti-competitive policies for games starting, or in early, development. Now with 3DS selling hand over fist in Japan and Vita struggling, that type of action might have been a little too extreme but considering that price drop, Nintendo was into extreme at the moment.

2. Capcom didn't have the resources to add one more console to its HD version development. As crazy as that sounds, and it does sound crazy, it takes quite the man power to port up and to 4 mediums as it is and they could have just not had the people around to port to Vita too...by May.

3. Capcom didn't want to spend the money. Not because porting is too expensive, because Vita has been found relatively inexpensive and easy to port to, but because of the possibility of limited return on investment. Vita does have a small install base, but still more than the Wii U so that doesn't might sense right? Well not exactly, considering Vita owners are far more likely to own a PS3 a number of potential Vita sales might equate to lost PS3 sales. Now notice that the port is going to MSRP at $50. If they made a Vita version would they keep it at $50 or would they have to lower down to $40.  Either way means less money for them because at $50 if could have just sold on PS3 and at $40 Capcom could be out $10. There just aren't enough Vita owners that aren't PS3 owners and therefore wouldn't reach enough additional customers to justify development. This situation is very similiar to other Japanese publishers who decided on releasing game on PSP for Vita's first year.

I don't think that is true unless the requirements to run this game are at a certain level, but maybe considering the majority of the active PC market might have those ports. Then again, that doesn't mean that they use them.

I do, and lots of people use pcs in their living rooms connected to their tvs. Steam big picture FTW.

The only thing we are sure is that this is another game that wont come to vita. Spin that if you can.

I'm not trying to spin anything. You can leave out attempts at personal attacks.
