Do you even know what you're talking about? Buying OnLive would've costed Sony around 40m with their debt included. Setting up the servers for Sony products would require another couple millions. OnLive had only 3 data distribution centres while Gaikai had 24. Gaikai had many partnerships with other companies while OnLive had none. You should read about its CEO and how he chased away their partners. Overall Gaikai had much better streaming and compression.

Its better for Sony to invest in a healthy company than a rotting one, investing in the rotting company would create Sony an unnecessary competitor Gaikai, so with their purchase they eliminated any threat.

If you ask me SEGA made a bad deal there compared to the others.

Ubi soft seems to have made the best deal.

The warhammer games dont sell that great. Maybe company of heroes sells a bit more and is what is pushing the price? Seems alot more than what the other assets got sold for.

company of heroes 2 is already done, they only have to release it now, not to forget add-ons and more srategy games in the future from relic. and maybe warhammer games don't sell millions over million but probably still enough and if it is only over years with many steam sales^^

and they should obviously also have some plans, they could make new warhammer games like total war or something haha

seriously man company of heroes and warhammer sell really well on steam plus they are rated very well and play really well (personal opinion). Would most other pc gamers agree its sell through with be level with total war or even higher?

That is true but Relic has a history of making great Warhammer 40k games and I suspect that Sega purchasing Relic was influenced by that. They already inked that deal as you say and I think there is a very good chance that a warhammer 40K game will be in the works. But I do see them making another game first. Homeworld 3 would be just as good :)

I am pretty happy to see Koch Media bought Red Faction, Saint's Row and Metro. Seeing they really took a shitload of money to expand their business means they are willing to make sequels to this games, which is good.
But also i see this with interest because that means the video game market becomes slightly more important in germany where video game development doesn't get the attention it deserves (it's getting bad press all the time).
So now one more company tries to compete in the world market, that's good. Besides Crytek there are nearly no other keyplayers here.
