@OP. It's too bad, too much oil is being consumed already and its sad to see more being consumed. What happens when none is left, and why not push renewables? This world could be so much better.

Don't hold your breath. Supply is generally limited to either keep the price stable or to let it gradually increase. A couple of years ago when it started to fall, OPEC cut the supply so prices would rise again.

That's not how the oil market works. Oil is bought and sold on world markets - meaning this will impact world prices, but not local prices.
