I sure hope atlus isn't following SE route, releasing a bunch of spinoffs (though some are high quality), making some pretty good niche and crossovers games. Localizing or Bringing a game out the original Publisher didn't want to bring out.

While taking forever to make the main games in their main series...

I don't know if that'll be the case but as you can see from the trailer it's being presented by Atlus. So I'm assuming Atlus is pretty much the main developer it even though IS is on it too and I bet it'll be more SMT in feel and structure than FE but we'll see.

Yeah but I'm thinking it will end up being more of a strategy-oriented RPG which is what I fear as I prefer the more classic turn-based gameplay of the latest SMT games.

I'm surprised Nintendo is outsourcing their core franchises lately (like Smash with Namco).

Devil Survivor is Atlus' SRPG series and it has turn based combat. I don't think you should worry, really.

So I think we can confirm that this is a very interesting SRPG crossover and that we should support the notion of Nintendo and Atlus partnering up in the future.
