Forums - Gaming - Kinect outsells GameCube in North America in half the time!

I'm pretty sure it'll defeat the Xbox as well.
So, when all is said and done the Kinect will have beaten the Xbox, and the Balance Board will have beaten the Gamecube. That's quite a feat, even when you consider the low sales for those consoles.

GameCube had a rather limited audience, selling exclusively to children and all.

I was in my twenties and the Gamecube was the first console I bought last gen followed by a Xbox then PS2.  IT was a vastly underrated system and I got far more enjoyment from it than my PS2 (not a fan of some of the last gen popular genres such as stealth, jrpg, sandbox (GTA)).  I think my gaming tastes were in the minority last gen.

Bahahaha.  I'm not even gonna take the bait, dude.  Not gonna go there.  All you need to know is that you're indeed very wrong about that.

Nope but you're entitled to you own opinion

You're wrong if even 1 person owned a GameCube who wasn't a child.  So, you're wrong.  You can say you're not wrong, but you said something didn't happen.  It did happen.  Therfore, you're wrong.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

5 million of those Kinects are sitting on shelves gathering dust at second-hand game shops.  At least 5 million of them.

lol you wish. Whatever helps you sleep better.

Same with PSPs, man.  There are loads of second-hand game shops around where I live.  All of them have so many Kinects and PSPs that they literally don't even take them back anymore.   Too much overstock.

It is certainly impressive for an attachment, but the comparison is a curious one.

Agreed. I hate that Gamecube has become a punch-line.

Phew! Some of those posts in that thread...

OT: Cool. But we all know this is an unfair comparison... for the GameCube.

I think you need to read my posts again as it's quite apprent you've completely misunderstood what I said.  I didn't say the Gamecube only sold to kids, I pointed out to the guy who did say that (Jumpin) that I bought a Gamecube when I was in my twenties therefor it didn't only sell to kids.

Take a chill pill and relax, you've wrote I'm wrong twice in your post when in actual fact I'm not...

Interesting.

Anything that attracts casuals more than gamers will sell faster.

Well Move was a massive flop. So its a little more complicated than that.

All the more reason this is especially sad for the GCN.
