Forums - Nintendo - Wii accidents

My friend invited me over to play his new Grand Slam Tennis on his brand new HDTV.

He had a basement apt at the time and there wasn't much space between the couch and the TV

resulting in his new tv getting a chip in it from a stray wiimote swing. Oops...

In my own house, just some people getting whacked but that's usually just funny.

Did you damage his TV?

And zippy, the Wiimote worked. It was just a little dent. And I guess it still works now, but I sold it off last year.

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

I've seen some of those videos and no, I've never had an accident that involved the Wii.

Weird, I never had an accident with the Wii.. and I never use the wrist strap.

I have been on the receiving end of Wii accidents though. Mainly people smacking me with the damn remote because they're being idiotic.. I kicked their asses in-game afterwards, so its all good. =P

The worst that has happened is smashed fingers when a friend and I were playing against each other. Although, to be honest, I was probably beating him and that is his way of trying to throw me off. It smarted, but no permanent damage.

I make people wear the safety strap if they are going to play around me.

Also, with Kinect I have sent my glass of water flying across the roof a few times. Trying to jump to get something quickly, and f-l-i-n-g! Airborne water glass, splash, and I have something to clean up.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Tell me a funny joke!

gave my gf one in the chin once.

I never had a Wii accident, but once it almost slipped from my hand. I used to think "how dumb do you have to be to smash your TV with a wiimote?", not after that haha. I almost smashed my precious :(

I think Marky Mark Whalberg, the rapper come movie star once sustained a broken hand due to his daughter hitting it with a Wiimote. And there was the old diagnosis of "Wii-itus" due to people visiting thier local doctors with sore elbows/shoulders.
