Brazil wins...

Around the Network

woah all those cities are crazy, i believe we had under 350 homicides in whole germany last year.

but i think people shouldn't fear to go to brazil as long as they don't go in the "darker areas" in some cities. many of those homicides should be between gangs and stuff. chance is probably higher to die because of an car accident as to get murdered in brazil and who fears to drive with a car?

Brazil is hosting the Olympics and the World Cup in the next 4 Years. I hope things get far better, for the sake of travelling fans.

# 30 that's me (seriously)

Without order nothing can exist - without chaos nothing can evolve.

My city comes out as number 14 in the list, and most fuck up thing is that the majority of those murders take place in a small area of the city, a set of neighborhood's in war with each other, so the murder rate is insane!! in that small portion of the city, and for the people talking about some US cities not being on the list, trust me, i have lived in some " dangerous " cities in the states, and there's no comparison, gangster's from the US ghetto's will shit their pants and cry like bitches if they were to lived arround that part of my city

Looks like Brazil, Mexico and South Africa are very dangerous places.

This list fails to account for any crime besides murder. If you included theft and kidnapping in consideration (with a lower value, of course), then I don't think a single US city would be on there anymore.

Note to self: Never visit Brazil or Mexico.

I don't know why I bother, but... The ammount of prejudice in this sentence is absurd. What kind of a research is that? And even if it is true, there are more than 5500 cities in Brazil, many of them peaceful as it can get. Well, maybe it is really better for us if whoever wrote this  decides not to ever come.

I feel the same kind of prejudice when people think my hometown in the middle east is nothing but gunfire and explosions. My apologies if I offended you.

You cut out the part where I said Cleveland isn't included. I was making fun of my current location before I even made a funny about Mexico.

None taken, it's all cool. :) I just wanted to point out that some cities don't represent the whole. Yet, some years ago people thought there were monkeys living with Brazilians all over the Country... I love monkeys and animals in general, but that just won't cut it. Finally, violence in poorer areas of cities has everything to do with drugs and traffic, since those are better places to make hideouts and dealing points. If people, specially middle class ones, stopped using them, drug dealers would not be so powerful and the poor would not suffer that much.

Hmmm maybe its good I skipped my south america travels
