The controller for the PS4 will be the PSV

Good! The dualshock is out dated in my opinion, everyone who I know and has had extensive experience with both systems prefer the 360's control. Naturally if all you've ever played on is the dualshock then you're going to think its perfect.

I actually but most multiplatform games more 360 simply because of the controller.

I think they should keep the button structure of the PS3 but with the bulkier form factor of the 360.

a vita like controller with a changeable case you can buy for 100 bucks which has the tech in it to make a real vita out of the controller. vita would get a lot of new customers and it wouldn't cost that much extra for sony and ps4.

So it will have a touch screen.... and dual shock will be secondary... hmmm... sounds a lot like the solution another system is using.

btw, using Vita would demand a low-powered console as Vita has a higher cost than WiiU's gamepad. So those of you throwing that out there, be sure you're the type that won't cry when its essentially the same as WiiU's power.

It'll sure be interesting to see what each company does post-Wiis motion and WiiUs gamepad.

For me, personally, this is great news. PS controllers have always been so small, the control sticks are in the "wrong" position, and the button layout was confusing ("X," means yes and "O" means no? Backwards logic!).

I am interested to see what they're doing.

i'm ok with this. wht ever work//gets the job done, i'm down.

Well it actually makes sense. Think about it. First of all, people will need to buy all new controllers, instead of continuing to use the same ones they've got. (And we all know Sony needs as much money as they can get at the moment) So there's big incentive in that aspect alone. Secondly, if the graphics leap from this gen to next-gen isn't going to be as noticeable as it was previously.....they are going to need something "more" to sell people on the system. What better way to stir up intrigue and interest, than to have a completely new controller model. Sure it's not much, but it's enough. I know I'm excited to see what "new thing" they come up with. Very excited to see how all the new tech will be incorporated; Biometric, motion, touch, accelerometer, gyro, etc.

I think the new controller will look like a Vita but a little bit bigger and with better and clickable analog sticks, no back touch and 4 shoulder buttons.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

They wouldn't dare... remember what happened with the boomerang controllers for PS3?

Tbh that reaction would of come no matter what controller that thing was going to replace.

if sony makes a touchscreen control... it is innovative...
if its nintendo... its effing doomed
