People don't like that, generally IMO. People want a little bit of choice at least.

Do they? Is there anyone not currently buying an iPhone that would buy an 'iPhone Pro'?

A legit 5-inch iPhone with the best display on the market and a little more customizable OS (perhaps a style refresh too ... gloss + chrome?) would cut the legs off a lot of Galaxy/Note sales IMO. A larger case size can also allow for a bigger battery and longer battery life.

You're asking for a customisable OS? Apple would rather die than give you that.

No, their problem is they don't want to screw with the regular iPhone because lots of moms/dad/tech dummies use it. Allowing customization there would confuse a lot of them potentially.

Hence when you create a new line of phone with the "Pro" moniker. Mom and dad can have their idiot proof phone, people who want a little more can have the iPhone Pro.

It's not like the Mac OS doesn't allow for customization. Customization and apps that display data really aren't that great for a smaller screen size anyway, a 5-inch screen simply fits better with ideas like a lock screen that shows more information/widgets, more background customization, "live" app icons, etc.

Apple seems ideologically opposed to user choice even when it makes sense. You could store files on an iPod. You cannot with an iPhone, in fact they have some very elaborate mechanisms and code to stop you (in other words it cost them money), and the same with the continual patches to stop jailbreaking (which inconvenience no one who would want to).

I agree with their ideas of sane defaults and limited options, but not that.

lol for each new request made by users here in VGC I have more sure about that... I want the iPhone like it is now.

No.. If you want a bigger screen just go get an android phone... But to be honest I dont think apple is gonna increase the screen size in their next model. They just did it with the iphone 5 and its gonna take people time to upgrade to this new resolution first

Long Live SHIO!
